A double chance bet covers two of the three match results. 1X wins if the home team wins or draws, X2 wins if the away team wins or draws, and 12 wins if either team wins. Because it covers two outcomes it lands far more often than 1X2, and pays less.

We publish a double chance tip only when it is at least 70% likely, which is why it is the backbone of our 2 odds slip.

When to choose double chance

Use it when the favourite is clear but the draw is a real risk, or when a stronger away team is playing somewhere difficult. Many punters build accumulators from double chance picks because each leg is safer.
