Both teams to score (GG/NG) explained: markets article cover

Both teams to score, often written GG (yes) or NG (no), ignores who wins. It only asks whether each side scores at least one goal.

  • GG / Yes wins with results like 1-1, 2-1 or 3-2
  • NG / No wins with results like 0-0, 1-0 or 3-0

What makes a good GG match

  • Two attacks that score in most games
  • Two defences that rarely keep clean sheets
  • Teams that are close in quality, so neither side dominates the ball

Common traps

  • A big favourite at home. If one side is likely to win comfortably, the other may never score, which kills a GG bet.
  • Low-scoring leagues. Some competitions see far more 1-0 results than others.

Our BTTS number

On every match page you will find our chance that both teams score. Around 50% is a coin flip, so look for matches well above or below that. Today's best options are on the BTTS page.
